Question: How is Source A different from Source B? (Provide difference in provenance and one different in content)
Answer:Source A is a view by an academic of Lim Yew Hock's government while Source B is a view by a fellow Party member of Lim Yew Hock's government.
The source are different because they provide conflicting perspectives on the success of Lim Yew Hock's government. Source A shows the Lim Yew Hock's government was not very successful as it ironically undermined the credibility of the Lim government which was perceived by the Chinese as the 'running dogs' of the British. However, source B tells us that the Lim Yew Hock's government was successful because under the Lim Yew Hock's government, Singapore 'accepted policies which were right for Singapore', such as 'giving everyone the opportunity to take citizenship' and 'compulsory voting'.

Question:
How similar are the 2 sources?
Answer:
Both sources are similar because they are about the Lim Yew Hock Government.
Both sources agree that Lim Yew Hock’s way of governing was different from David Marshall. This can be seen from Source A which states that ‘unlike Marshall, Lim was prepared to work with the British’, while Source B states that Lim Yew Hock accepted policies which ‘were wrong for the personal interests’ of the Labour front leadership, but which benefited Singapore.
However, both sources are different from each other because they provide conflicting views on the success of Lim Yew Hock’s government. This is seen from the Source A where the ‘Lim’ government ‘was perceived by the Chinese as the “running dogs” of the British while Source B states that the locals ‘accepted policies which were right for Singapore’ under Lim Yew Hock’s governing.
